Opportunities for Military Spouses

The military, government, schools, and private organizations are united in offering an abundance of ways for military spouses to obtain an education. We have provided a brief summary of a variety of programs to better assist your individual goals and needs below.

MyCAA (Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts) Member: This tuition assistance program provides up to $4,000 (over 2 years) of Financial Assistance for military spouses who are pursuing a license, certification, or associate degree in a portable career field and occupation.

Military Discounts: There are many different military-friendly colleges offer military spouse discounts. Discounts can range from as low as single-digit percentages or as high as 50% off. Of course, discounts vary on the level and type of degree. This makes it even more important to know which school would suit your specific needs.

Military Spouse Scholarships & Grants: Scholarship and Grant types include scholarships for minorities, foreign-born spouses, community service, and much more. There are hundreds of scholarships with varying criteria.

Veterans Affairs Programs: These programs include the Fry Scholarship, Post 9/11 GI/Bill/Forever GI Bill, and Survivor's and Dependent's Educational Assistance
